Horizons' website has a new look! There are new features, regular updates and it is easier than ever to find what you are looking for.
Here is what we have been up to at Horizons in the last few months...
Current Work - Exploring Emerging Technologies
Horizons is engaging experts across the federal public service, academia and the private sector to help explore emerging technologies. Over the next few months, we will be sharing what we are learning on our website leading to MetaScan 3 in the fall.
Building our Foresight and Scanning Skills
Over the course of 2012-2013 Horizons staff have been upgrading their foresight skills and filling their tool box with new tools to support the foresight and scanning process.
Come Scan with Us @ Horizons
Come Scan with Us is a growing network of interest in scanning and foresight with participants from across the federal government. It supports shared learning and development of skills by using facilitated discussions, held bi-weekly, to crowdsource issues that have broad implications for Canada, which in turn, inform better policy. Experimenting with new Techniques
Horizons provided all staff with visual facilitation training, to develop the skills to design, lead and capture images of meetings to help engage people and examine mental models. The training was inspiring and the Horizons' team has been putting what we've learned into practice.
Check out how we are growing as visual leaders each and every day!
